Brian Cannella

Brian Cannella is a managing director on the capital markets team at KA Real Estate where he is responsible for sourcing all debt and managing lender relationships for KA Real Estate’s opportunistic and core equity funds. During his tenure at KA Real Estate, Cannella has closed more than $2 billion of transactions in the student housing, seniors housing, medical office and storage sectors. In addition, Cannella serves on the pre-screen committee for KA Real Estate’s real estate debt platform.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2013, Cannella was an associate for Tishman Construction, where he focused on managing and analyzing financial, operational, and business risks. Prior thereto, he worked as a broker and financial analyst for Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, where he was responsible for the acquisition and disposition of commercial space in New York City. Cannella also spent three years as a construction consultant for a leading consulting firm in New York City.

Cannella earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Union College and an M.B.A. in Finance and Investments from the University of Notre Dame.
