Masoud Sami is a senior associate for Kayne Anderson’s growth equity strategies where he works closely with the vice president of business development & operations on fundraising, implementing new financial reporting processes, and other business development efforts. He is also involved on the investment side, assisting with the monitoring of portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Kayne, Sami worked as a senior credit associate at Pacific Mercantile Bank (PMB). Prior to PMB, he worked as an equity research analyst for AtiNegar Sepehr, an investment management firm in Iran, focused on publicly traded companies in steel production and pharmaceutical Industries and as an investment banking analyst for Kharazmi Investment Company, Iran’s second largest investment bank.

Sami graduated with a B.A. in pure mathematics from Guilan University in 2012, a B.S in civil engineering from Tehran Polytechnic in 2013 and an MBA from Cal State University Long Beach in 2015. Mr. Sami is a CFA charter holder and an active member of the CFA society of Los Angeles.
